Oh, the boogers they pick
This is an old story with a new twist. Several years ago when Cora was about 2, Carol caught her picking her nose and eating it, in the backseat. Carol told her "Ew, that's gross don't do that." To which Cora responded, "Nu-uh, it's yummy." Fast forward 3 years to the very recent past. Yesterday we were driving and Cora pipes up, "EW, Mom, Maren is picking her nose and trying to give it to me... Now she is trying to give me her ear wax." Of course Jessica cannot be left out on this pleasantness so a few days ago Carol was telling her not to pick her nose and eat it because it is yucky. Jess's response, "Uh uh Mom, it's good. How do you know, you've never tried it." So there you are three booger picking cuties. Just so you don't think it is all boogers and earwax at our house. Maren has also picked up on the music portion of Church. Today we were sitting very near the front on the left side of the chapel, which happens to be where the music is conducted from. Maren figured out what was going on with the music quite readily and started both singing and leading at the same time. Nothing quite so cute as her little arm jutting out bobbing up and down completely out of time and with absolutely no pattern or direction. The trend continued tonight as we were singing the girls songs before bed she again sang and lead but this time she had a birthday card of mine and was "reading" it as if it were a hymn book. She is a smart cookie.

thanks for the laugh...by the way, maren is one beautiful baby...even if her finger is in her nose!
Nice. You gotta love boogies. Luckily your girls are all so precious so they are still cute when they are digging for gold. Other children I have seen don't look so cute when they are wearing mismatched socks, dirty clothes, and it looks as though they just woke up. You have beautiful girls.
Love Mar leading. SO cute.
OK, I am still laughing and crying. Thats awesome! I love the girls so much! Words can't descrive they joy they bring even in just story form. Give them kisses for me!
